Bluegrass Concrete Education Council Presents: The Business Case for Concrete Housing

Wednesday, October 13, 2021 (3:30 PM - 6:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

The Business Case for Concrete Housing: Highlighting Economics in Construction and Life Cycle Operations Costs

Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) construction is a high-performance building system that optimizes disaster resilience and energy efficiency, whereby the form system remains in place creating an energy-tight wall system.  Kentucky is a leader in ICF construction as is evidenced by the multiple ICF projects around the Commonwealth: schools, hotels, emergency and public safety buildings, convenient stores, student housing, affordable housing and more.  EKU, Bellarmine University, UofL and Transylvania University all have student housing built with ICFs.  ICFs are a natural fit for single-family housing as well.  Local projects and a national overview will be discussed during the presentation.

Certificates of attendance will be available for attendees: 1 PDH, 1 LU, 1 CEU
